Yes you can add a little energy boost to your morning smoothie by using green tea. The best way is to of course brew your own tea, as when you buy it in the market it tends to have a lot of additives and sugars. So the night before brew up some of your favorite green tea and put in the fridge till morning. While your add it maybe slice up the fruit and put it in the freezer as well, then should only take you a couple mins to put this together in the morning.
1/2 A honeydew melon cubed (preferably frozen)
1/4 Almond or Rice milk
1 tsp Honey
3/4 cup of green tea, chilled
Thats it! put it all into your blender and blend till smooth. Now besides all of teas great health benefits, it does add caffeine (unless you brew a de-caffenated tea) to the mix here. Some people (like me) try to avoid caffeine so please be aware of this.
