Cranberry Melon Kiwi Smoothie

Cranberry-Melon-KiwiThis is a healthy breakfast smoothie by a beautiful friend of mine, Paige. Her measurements are a bit, well lets say not percise but I tend to be the same when making my own. Just pour in the fruit and lets see how it tastes. Has some of my favorite ingredients, cantaloupe and kiwi’s (love kiwi’s) and a natural and healthy sweetener in honey. Along with a boost of Omega-3′s from the flax seeds this will be a great smoothie to start out your day!

I’ll post a few more from her. but you can find her at her Instagram account. She’s big on fitness, although a bit of a coffee addict, and an awesome yogi as well.

  • Handful cranberries
  • Handful frozen cantaloupe
  • 1 kiwi
  • 1 tsp raw honey
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1 tsp flax seeds
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk

They always taste better in a mason jar, trust me :) Enjoy

Watermelon-Kiwi Smoothie

Watermelon Kiwi Smoothie

Watermelon Kiwi Smoothie

I love Kiwi and everyone loves Watermelon :) so this makes a perfect smoothie to start your day with. I also added a banana to give it a little more creaminess. If you dont feel like dicing up a whole watermelon most supermarkets offer pre diced in little containers. A bit more expensive but a definite time saver.

3 cups diced watermelon
2 whole kiwi’s
1 banana
3 cups of ice
1 teaspoon of ground flax seed (optional)

Makes about 4-5 cups

Little note on the kiwi, be sure you peel it first or you’ll have a very fuzzy not so smoothie :) An easy to peel is to cut off both ends. The insert a table spoon just under the skin, back of spoon to the skin. Push it in then carefully turn the kiwi keep ing the spoon close to the skin. Once all the way around the kiwi will just slide out. Another note, if you add things like the flax seed and protein your smoothie color may not look like most pictures.

Honeydew-Kiwi Smoothie

Here is a tasty treat I found on Fitness Magazine. Haven’t tried it yet but its on my list to create soon. They had sugar as an ingredient but why ruin such a healthy smoothie with sugar? If you need to sweeten it up more do it with more fruit or a little agave

Kiwi-Honeydew Smoothie

I love Kiwi

  • 2 cups  cubed honeydew
  • 1 small  Granny Smith apple, peeled, cored, and cut up
  • 1 kiwifruit, peeled and cut up
  • 1 tablespoons  ground flax seed
  • 1 tablespoon  lemon juice
  • 1 cup  ice cubes

In a blender container, combine fruit, and lemon juice. Cover and blend until smooth. Add ice cubes; cover and blend until cubes are crushed and mixture is slushy.  If you want to add a little protein powder to give a it a little more of a full meal nutrition go right ahead. Although as it is its more of a refreshing beverage to enjoy along with your oatmeal. Makes 2-3 servings (or if your servings are like min then 1)

If you try it before me be sure to leave a comment on what you think :)
