This green smoothie is little more green than fruit this time around but is still good and because of all the fiber it is quite filling as well. Be a great additional a couple times a week if you are looking to loose weight and well help you get more than your daily dose of veggis down the pipe!
- 1 apple, cored and sliced
- 1 pear, cored and sliced
- 1 banana
- 1 cup Water
- 1 cup Ice
- 1 head Romaine Lettuce, chopped
- 3-4 stalks celery
- 3/4 cup of a baby spinach
- Juice of 1/2 lemon (not from that plastic lemon in the fridge, use a real one!)
Start off with your water, Ice, lettuce and Spinach and blend at a lower speed. Then add your fruits and celery and the highest speed and blend till smooth. This green smoothie for breakfast will keep you from reaching for those sugary snacks the rest of the morning.
