Orange Smoothie

Well not quite that famous flavor but its close and very creamy. A great breakfast smoothie to start your day, adding an orange to get your vitamin C dose for the day it is quite tasty and I easily consumed the whole blender. As with most I start with the 1/4 of water and add a little more as needed if its to thick. I also added my protein powder and flaxseed to mine.

1/2 cup greek nonfat vanilla yogurt
1 large navel orange
1 cup frozen peaches
1 banana
1/2 cup frozen mango chunks
1/4-1/2 cup water

Green Breakfast Smoothies

Most people when the think green smoothie they think ‘eeewwwww!’ Well the secret to green smoothies is to be sure to use 60-70% fruit and you won’t even taste the green stuff and you will still have all the rich nutrients of it. My favorite green to add is spinach as in its raw state it dosent have much flavor and is easy to hide with the fruit. Green smoothies make a great breakfast smoothie and a perfect and healthy way to start your day.

1 cup rice milk (or your alternative of choice)
1 banana
1/2 mango (frozen if you can)
2 handfuls of baby Spinach (ya not to precise measurements huh)
1/2 ice

Throw everything in and blend away until smooth. Try it out and let me know what you think!

Tropical Blend Smoothie

This happens to be one of my favorite smoothies to date. Very tasty and filling. Just don’t over do the pineapple as this ends up being the dominant flavor.

Tropical Blend Healthy Smoothie


  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple
  • 1 cup frozen Mango
  • 1 ripe banana, peeled
  • 1 cup Cantaloupe
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 1 cup plain greek yogurt
  • 1-1/2 cups of Rice Milk

Optional: 1/2 cup baby spinach leaves

Blend all ingredients in blender first set at medium and then at high. When smooth continue blending while pouring in ice to taste. If you add the spinach as I do the smoothie will take on a slight green tint, but you won’t taste it a bit. Serves 4 to 6.
